The Miwok Stables Center supports a wide variety of outreach programs at Miwok Stables, for members of the community who would otherwise not have the opportunity.
The lesson programs are conducted by the Miwok Livery, a riding school which has been operating at Miwok Stables since 1981. The Livery has twenty-six school horses and an experienced and credentialed staff of instructors.
MSC volunteers assist with the lessons, providing a one-on-one teacher/student ratio, and a deep level of personal involvement and commitment to each student.
Miwok Stables is not a “therapeutic” riding center, as it does not have the facilities, training or equipment to accommodate disabled riders. We encourage interested parties to contact these fine therapeutic riding centers:
